Golden Globes 2025 recap: Biggest moments from the 82nd annual awards show

The 2025 Golden Globes kicked off awards season Sunday night as the best in film and television were honored.

Brady Corbet's "The Brutalist" and Jacques Audiard's "Emilia Pérez" were big winners of the night on the film side, winning best motion picture (drama) and best motion picture (musical or comedy), respectively. "Wicked" took home the award for cinematic and box office achievement.

On the television side, "Shōgun," "Hacks" and "Baby Reindeer" won the top prizes.

Comedian Nikki Glaser hosted the ceremony, which was held at Los Angeles' famed Beverly Hilton.

The comedian, who is the first woman to solo host the Golden Globes, is nominated tonight for best performance in stand-up comedy on television for her comedy special "Nikki Glaser: Someday You'll Die."


Cate Blanchett and more nominees hit the red carpet

Cate Blanchett, Allison Janney, Liza Colón-Zayas and more nominees have arrived on the red carpet.

Blanchett, who is nominated for best performance by a female actor in a limited series, anthology series or a motion picture made for television for her role in "Disclaimer," stepped out in a gold gown with an intricate neckline.

Janney, who is nominated for best performance by a female actor in a supporting role on television for "The Diplomat," also walked the carpet in a dark blue off-the-shoulder gown.

Colón-Zayas, who is also nominated tonight for best performance by a female actor in a supporting role on television for "The Bear," wore a Christian Siriano gown.
