Maren Morris opens up on new album, 'Humble Quest': 'It’s the happiest music I’ve made'
The country singer also revealed her favorite song off the album, out March 25.
Maren Morris offered new insight into her upcoming album, "Humble Quest," during a recent Twitter Q&A with fans.
"It's the happiest music I've made, in a very trying time," Morris described to one fan inquiring about the album. As for her favorite lyric, Maren revealed it's, "Now your heart beats in me."
Things got interesting when the singer was challenged to explain "Humble Quest" with emojis. She replied using symbols of a highway, a tongue, water droplets, a woman holding a baby and a pair of women dancing in leotards and bunny ears.
As for what song she thinks will become a fan favorite, Morris wrote, "I never know. I was floored The Bones did what it did so I clearly have zero compass. I will say, I love them all." She said it's too hard to pick her favorite song, but ultimately settled on "Nervous."
This is Morris' third major studio album following 2016's "Hero" and 2019's "Girl" the latter of which was named album of the year at the CMA Awards. "The Bones" was nominated for best country song at the 2021 Grammy Awards.
"Humble Quest" is set to release March 25. The lead single, "Circles Around This Town," is quickly climbing up the charts.
