Mariah Carey shares footage of 1st-ever 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' performance

The singer first sang the song at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in 1994.

According to the caption on her YouTube page, the show took place at The Cathedral of St. John the Divine on Dec. 8, 1994, at a fundraiser to benefit The Fresh Air Fund and Camp Mariah.

Since then, the song has taken on a life of its own. According to a 2017 report from The Economist, "All I Want For Christmas Is You" has made more than $60 million in royalties since its release.

It's appropriate that this is one of Carey's most memorable songs, given her obsession with the holiday.

“No one can top my Christmases no matter what they do,” Carey told Yahoo recently.

Carey teamed up with Spotify to mark the Christmas hit's 25th anniversary, making an exclusive enhanced album. The legendary singer had some fun promoting the album, starring in a video about how she helped the world get into Christmas mode.
