Michael Douglas reacts to meeting grandson Ryder for the 1st time
This is Douglas' second grandchild.
Congratulations are in order for actor Michael Douglas. After patiently waiting for almost a month, the 76-year-old "Ant-Man" star was finally able to meet his second grandchild -- a little boy named Ryder.
Ryder, who was born in late December, is the son of the Douglas' eldest son, Cameron, and his partner, Viviane Thibes.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, the two-time Academy Award winner was unable to visit his son's new bundle of joy. Douglas shared the happy news on Tuesday that his patience finally paid off and he was able to personally cuddle his new grandchild.
"First time I’ve seen my month old grandson, Ryder," the Marvel star gushed, sharing a sweet black-and-white photo of him cradling a sleepy Ryder in one arm and, in the other hand, holding up a nearly empty baby bottle.
Ryder is the little brother of 3-year-old Lua Izzy, Cameron and Thibes' daughter who was born in 2017
Cameron announced his little one's birth alongside his longtime partner on Dec. 22 by sharing an adorable family photo.
"Touch down planet earth," he wrote at the time. "Welcome my Son...Ryder T. Douglas."
