Marvel Studios drops 'Secret Invasion' trailer starring Samuel L. Jackson: Watch

The latest MCU series debuts June 21 on Disney+.

The trailer for Marvel Studios' forthcoming Disney+ spy series "Secret Invasion" is finally here.

Samuel L. Jackson's super-spy Nick Fury takes center stage, back on Earth after a mission off-planet assisting the benevolent Skrulls, a shape-shifting alien race first introduced to the MCU in "Captain Marvel."

What Fury finds upon his return is a radical sect of Skrulls, led by Kingsley Ben-Adir's Gravik, on our planet who are impersonating key people and causing havoc from within.

"Since you've been gone, things have gotten much worse," Ben Mendelsohn's Talos tells him.

"Why do you think I came back?" Fury replies.

Oscar- and Emmy-winner Olivia Colman also stars as Sonya Falsworth, who tries to warn Fury, saying, "You're in no shape for this fight that lies before us, old friend."

We see Talos grabbing Gravik at a restaurant, only to watch every patron shapeshift into the rebel Skrull leader.

Fury is shown visiting his own grave, a callback to the end of "Captain America: Civil War" when he fakes his own death and goes on the run. "This is personal," he says.

"Very few of us know about the wars fought in the shadows that have raged on this planet," Falsworth says as Fury's loyal ally Maria Hill, played by Cobie Smulders, reappears.

Meanwhile, a voiceover asks, "Where are the Avengers?"

Fury explains, "This war is one I have to fight. Alone."

"You're the most wanted man on the planet," Don Cheadle's Col. James Rhodes, aka War Machine, tells him.

The trailer also shows us new MCU player and "Game of Thrones" vet Emilia Clarke, playing G'iah.

"You don't know what they have planned for you," G'iah tells Jackson's Fury, who promises, "One last fight," as the trailer ends.

"Set in the present day MCU, Nick Fury learns of a clandestine invasion of Earth by a faction of shapeshifting Skrulls," reads the official description from Marvel Studios. "Fury joins his allies, including Everett Ross (Martin Freeman), Maria Hill and the Skrull Talos, who has made a life for himself on Earth. Together they race against time to thwart an imminent Skrull invasion and save humanity."

The series, which debuts June 21 on Disney+, also stars Charlayne Woodard, Killian Scott, Samuel Adewunmi, Dermot Mulroney, Christopher McDonald and Katie Finneran.

Disney is the parent company of Marvel Studios, ABC News and "Good Morning America."
