Will Smith has kids ask Dr. Anthony Fauci questions about COVID-19: 'Can the tooth fairy still come?'
Fauci appears in the latest episode from Will Smith’s new Snapchat series.
Kids may say the darndest things sometimes, but they also have important questions about the COVID-19 pandemic, too.
“Good Morning America” has an exclusive sneak peek of the latest episode from Will Smith’s new Snapchat series, “Will From Home,” in which he lets children quiz White House Coronavirus Task Force member Dr. Anthony Fauci about whatever was on their minds.
“Can the tooth fairy still come if I lose my tooth because of coronavirus and can she catch the virus,” asked a 7-year-old girl named Ava.
“I gotta tell you, Ava,” Dr. Fauci replied. “I don’t think you need to worry about the tooth fairy.”
Some kids asked the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases if they can still go out for a walk.
“Yes, you can go out for a walk,” Fauci answered. “You need to stay six feet away from anyone else.”
Others asked if this was ever going to end or is it something they’ll be doing for a good portion of their lives.
“When we have a vaccine and we have enough baseline immunity, this is something you’re not going to have to worry about for the rest of your life,” Fauci assured them.
Smith then asked Fauci more serious questions, like why COVID-19 has killed so many in the African American community.
New episodes of “Will From Home” are out Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on Snapchat Discover and YouTube. The episode with Fauci is out Wednesday, April 22, at 6 a.m. ET.
