'Biggest Wedding Australia Has Seen in Some Time'

June 25, 2006— -- Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman and country singer Keith Urban married today in a Catholic Church in Sydney, Australia, in what Australian journalist Richard Wilkins called the "the biggest wedding Australia has seen in a long time."

Wilkins told "Good Morning America Weekend Edition" that the wedding was held in "a lovely old seminary just with Sydney Harbor to the south and the Pacific Ocean to the north -- overlooking Manly Beach."

Wilkins, an entertainment reporter with Channel 9 in Australia, said 230 guests attended the ceremony, including fellow Australian actors Hugh Jackman, Russel Crowe and Naomi Watts.

The wedding video was taken by Moulin Rouge director Baz Luhrmann and singer Neil Finn performed at the ceremony.

Wilkins said the couple is honeymooning in Kidman's favorite vacation spot, Fiji.+

Prenup Rumors

Kidman, who was married to actor Tom Cruise for 10 years until they divorced in 2001, had religious differences with her former husband. Like her, Urban was raised Catholic.

Although Urban and Kidman will enjoy religious harmony, speculation has already begun about whether or not the two have signed a prenuptial agreement based on their financial differences. Kidman is reportedly worth $150 million while Urban is worth $5 million.

"Don't you worry about our Keith," Wilkins said. "I think it's a bit more than five [million dollars]. Actually he's on the road doing big business in America. I've heard two conflicting opinions. This was a traditional Catholic ceremony. Nicole's mom and dad have been together for 40 years or something. She wants that marriage to go that same kind of way.

"One school of thought says no prenup needed," he added. "The other one, of course, would say, okay, there is a prenup in place. I've heard reports, yes, there was a prenup signed and an escape clause for her if he erred back to some of his errant ways."

Kidman and Urban met in Los Angeles in January 2005. It wasn't long before she was wearing a six-carat, $150,000 diamond engagement ring.

After the wedding, they plan to split their time equally between homes in Sydney and Nashville.

"They're both gypsies anyway, and when he's on the road she'll also be making movies," said Wilkins. "I would imagine this will be their big challenge. She kind of indicated she wants to spend more time in Nashville, but she's also got a pretty good place in Sydney. They're going to be citizens of the world."

Already, baby rumors have begun. Tabloids are speculating about a "bump" in Kidman's stomach, but Wilkins lends no credence to those reports.

"I think if she had a child every time someone spotted baby bump she'd have a football team by now," Wilkins said. "I think that rumor has been pretty well squashed. But she will likely want kids soon, and I think Keith would like some kids too."
