And the 'Dancing' Winner Is... Donny Osmond!

Nov. 24, 2009— -- An exuberant and clearly stunned Donny Osmond has been voted the "Dancing" King after wowing viewers and judges with his tango.

Singer Mya came in second place despite consistently winning top scores week after week and top praise for her Tuesday night jive.

Kelly Osbourne was awarded third place after dancing a graceful Viennese Waltz. She thanked America for consistently voting for her, week after week and then ran over to her father, heavy metal icon Ozzy Osbourne, for a post-competition hug.

Mya and Dmitri Chaplin, Kelly Osbourne and Louis Van Amstel, and Donny Osmond and Kym Johnson each performed three dances on Monday night as they competed for the Mirror Ball Trophy.

Osbourne fell during her Freestyle dance, but still impressed the judges with her energy.

"You epitomize what this competition is about," judge Len Goodman said after her Argentine Tango. "I thought you came out and danced right up there."

Bruno Tonioli called her "the revelation of the season" and Carrie Ann Inaba praised her "intimacy and intensity."

Mya and Osmond each earned a perfect score for one dance, and at the end of the night came in first and second based on their scores.

"I dub you the queen of the Paso Doble," Inaba told Mya.

"That was truly an absolute show stopper," Goodman told Osmond after his Freestyle dance.

Joanna Krupa, Aaron Carter Fall Short of 'Dancing With the Stars' Finals

Swimsuit model Joanna Krupa made her exit from "Dancing With the Stars" just one show short of the final dance-off, despite strong scores from the judges.

"Last night was pretty tough," Krupa told "Good Morning America" the day after her elimination. "I wasn't too shocked to find out I was leaving. I was competing against huge names. ... I was prepared for it, but I am bummed, I won't lie. I tried my best."

Pop star Aaron Carter said he was "a little shocked" to be voted off the show in week eight.

"I'm very proud of myself," Carter said on "GMA." "It's been a great experience. I've learned so many different things throughout the competition. ... Now I can actually brag that I know all these different kinds of style of dance."

Judge Len Goodman had a message for Carter after his elimination.

"I think you're an inspiration to all young people that anything is possible," Goodman said. "If you were my son, I would be so proud of you, but more importantly, you be proud of yourself because you've been great."

In week seven, Dallas Cowboy great Michael Irvin and "Iron Chef" host Mark Dacascos were each sent home in a second double elimination on "Dancing With the Stars."

The stars said they enjoyed their time on the show and were impressed by the talent of the remaining competitors.

"I'm happy that we had seven weeks," Irvin said. We had a good time. That's the best thing about this."

'Dancing With the Stars' Season 9 Results

Dacascos faced additional challenges because his partner, Lacey Schwimmer, was sick during rehearsals.

"Forty-eight hours prior to Monday night's show, I didn't have a dance [routine]," he said.

In the first double elimination, Melissa Joan Hart and professional snowboarder Louie Vito hung up their dancing shoes.

Hart said appearing on the show was a dream come true, and that her young sons were also proud of her.

"They were loving it," she said.

Vito, who had never danced, said that his snowboarding experience helped him in the ballroom.

"The flips definitely helped … other than that I was lost out there half the time," he said. "It was a whole new world for sure."

Swimmer Natalie Coughlin and professional dance partner Alec Mazo were eliminated in week five after judges and viewers gave them a mediocre grade for their Pasodoble.

"I'm sad it's over," Coughlin told "Good Morning America." "I definitely wasn't a dancer coming into this. I enjoyed it so much. It's been a wonderful experience."

Coughlin's loss came during in an emotional episode of "DWTS," as the show's 16 professional dancers gathered for a group dance as a tribute to the late Michael Jackson, several of whom's family members were in attendance.

Chuck Liddell, Kathy Ireland, Debi Mazer, Macy Grey and Ashley Hamilton were the first stars voted off the show, and former house majority leader Tom DeLay bowed out after suffering an injury.

'Dancing With the Stars' Season 9 Results

The ninth season of "Dancing With the Stars" kicked off in September with a live three-night event.

The first results show of the season featured a tribute to actor Patrick Swayze, who died Sept. 14 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.

Professional dancers performed to "Unchained Melody" from Swayze's film "Ghost," and "She's Like the Wind" and "The Time of My Life" from "Dirty Dancing."

This season boasted the largest cast ever, with 16 celebrities vying for the Mirrorball Trophy.
