22-year-old photographs her parents' 'empty nest' celebration as she moves out

"They’re just goofy people and I love them for that."

A 22-year-old photographer has captured her parents' elated reaction to becoming "empty nesters" as she moves out of their home and into her own place.

Haley Jones, of Oxford, Mississippi, snapped hilarious photos of her mom and dad, Amy and Randy English, laughing, leaping for joy and posing with their dogs, Marley and Buck outside their house in Pontotoc.

Jones is officially leaving the "nest" on June 1 and decided to take the photos when she signed her lease in March, she told "Good Morning America."

"They’re just goofy people and I love them for that," Jones said.

"The attention has been so shocking," she added. "I never expected this to blow up the way it did."

Jones shared posted the photos on Facebook on May 28 where it garnered 195,000 shares.

"It’s truly surreal and I am very grateful," Jones said.
