Parents reunite with newborn quadruplets after Texas ice storm keeps them apart
Millions witnessed the moment unfold after it was shared on TikTok.
A mom and dad have been reunited with their newborn quadruplets after being separated during the recent Texas ice storm.
Starlyn and Bill Cafferata of Austin welcomed babies Enzo, Lennon, Francesca and Stella on Jan. 18, prior to the winter storm, when dangerous weather conditions left millions without power. Some lost their lives, and the Cafferatas were trapped at home.
"I felt so helpless and guilty," Starlyn Cafferata told "Good Morning America." "But the reunion felt amazing."
Cafferata and her husband, who are also parents to 2-year-old Zoë, documented their journey of becoming parents to quadruplets on TikTok after struggling with infertility.
Cafferata said while her babies stayed in St. David's Women's Center of Texas' neonatal intensive care unit, layers of ice and snow kept her from visiting them for eight days.
Once it was safe enough to travel, the Cafferatas were reunited with their four children.
Millions watched and commented as the moment unfolded in a video shared on the family's TikTok account.
"We are incredibly blessed that people care about our babies and are invested like we are," Starlyn Cafferata said.
Lennon and Francesca are now home. Stella and Enzo will soon follow.
Cafferata said said big sister Zoë is thrilled to finally meet her siblings.
