Teen hilariously recreates childhood photo with dad via TikTok

The video has 15 million views.

An 18-year-old's re-creation of a family photo by way of TikTok has garnered 15 million views on the popular video app.

Matt Snyder of Canton, Georgia, recently recorded himself with his father, Eric Snyder, acting out a moment from Matt's childhood, when he climbed on his dad's shoulders as a toddler.

"I kept seeing this picture so I looked in my closet and I still had that little jersey I was wearing," Matt told "GMA," adding he and his dad both re-wore the Brian Urlacher Chicago Bears jerseys they had on from the first image mom Jennifer Snyder snapped when he was 3.

"It came out really good. I didn't expect the blow up," Matt said of the video. "It was pretty accurate."

Matt's senior year of high school has been canceled as a result of the novel coronavirus pandemic. He will attend Georgia College & State University in the Fall. For now, TikTok has been keeping him busy, he said.

Dad Eric told "GMA," "I think maybe it has taken off because it is lighthearted and touches the importance of a father-son relationship."

Matt said he's receiving messages from strangers saying the TikTok video made them want to bond with their own fathers.
