Check out local coffee shops to see about even more deals.

Americans love their coffee. Whether you take it black, with cream and sugar, or over ice, today is for coffee lovers because brands are extending offers for free and discounted deals on delicious caffeinated brews across the country for National Coffee Day!

63% of Americans drink coffee each day, which is higher than any other beverage including water, according to the National Coffee Association.

According to estimates from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the U.S. imports the most coffee and the agency expects we will import 20% of the world's volume of coffee in through 2024.

On average, Americans consume 491 million cups of coffee every single day, according to a new report from financial website WalletHub that looked at the best coffee cities in the country. WalletHub compared 100 of the largest cities across 12 key indicators of a strong coffee culture -- looking at coffee shops, coffee houses, and cafés per capita to find the average price per pack of coffee. The results showed San Francisco, California, cruising into the number one spot, followed closely behind by Portland, Oregon, and Seattle, Washington, as the top three best coffee cities.

Luckily for java drinkers, brands are rolling out specials on freshly brewed roasts from free hot coffee to buy-one-get-one deals and online discounts in honor of National Coffee Day.

Check the full list below for where to get a discounted caffeine fix this Friday and at some spots, through the weekend.
