Mildew Stains Don't Mean Your Shower Curtain Has to Go

June 7, 2010 -- We've all encountered stubborn stains that have put an end to a favorite piece of clothing or furniture. Mildew stains are among the worst offenders.
But does mildew on the shower curtain liner mean that it has to go, too?
Not so fast. Home cleaning experts say mildew can be removed and your shower curtain liner restored to its former pristine condition.
Here's the trick: You should wash the liner in a mixture of soap and bleach. Depending on your type of liner, you may even be able to launder it in your washing machine.
