Target Deal Days 2020 rivals Amazon Prime Day: See deals from Dyson, Apple and more

This year's sale event runs on the same days as Amazon Prime Day.

Target has launched a huge sale ahead of what is predicted to be a busy holiday season.

The mass retailer announced its annual Target Deal Days shopping event will return on Oct. 13 to14 -- the same days as Amazon Prime Day.

The company shared that this year's deals will be doubled compared to last year with big savings on home, beauty, fashion, toys and more with select discounts being released as early as Oct. 5.

In addition to Target's Deal Days, the company will have Black Friday pricing throughout November and an extended price-match policy.

"This year, in a holiday season unlike any other, we know it's more important than ever for our guests to get great deals in a convenient and safe shopping environment," said Target's executive vice president and chief merchandising officer Christina Hennington in a statement.

"By kicking off our holiday deals earlier than ever, offering Black Friday pricing throughout the full month of November, and extending our Price Match Guarantee, we're letting guests know they don't need to wait or face the crowds to get the best deals, all with no membership fees required," Hennington's statement continued.

As safety is a paramount concern for many shoppers, Target will also offer contactless drive-up, order pick-up, and same-day delivery using Shipt service.

Discounts will continue beyond October and November and nearly one million more deals than last year will be including through December.

There will also be exclusive perks and savings available for Target Circle members as well as customers who have a RedCard.

In addition to Target Deal Days rivaling the highly anticipated Amazon Prime Day, Walmart will also be running its Big Save Event.
