Kim Kardashian West dyed her hair bright red: See her new look
Her hairstylist Chris Appleton confirmed "it's NOT a wig."
Kim Kardashian West is a woman of many looks, but her latest hair color might shock you.
Her go-to hairstylist Chris Appleton recently posted two videos of West with freshly dyed cherry red hair.
For those who might think it's a wig, Appleton confirmed in his caption that it isn't.
In one video, West shows off the look wearing a high topknot where she says, "Guys, I dyed my hair red. Do you love it?"
There also was a second clip where West wears an orange top and a pulled-back version of her new rouge strands.
One Instagrammer @readmycommentsk left a comment saying, "Never thought I see the day where Kim's a red head, can't believe you did red with out making it look trashy."
The beauty mogul's new look was inspired by a fiery red wig she wore in 2019 for a KKW Beauty "Sooo Fire" Collection promo shoot. "We felt a red vibe. I worked with Kim's skin tone to create red that suits her and that's why I left the darker root," Appleton told People.
To achieve West's latest hue, the process took about two hours. Appleton kept her roots dark to help maintain the health of her natural hair.
"We left the roots her normal shade to keep the scalp and hair growth strong and then slightly lightened from about an inch towards the end," said Appleton. "Then once the hair was lightened we went over it with this vibrant red."
This isn't the first time we have seen West in a surprising new color. Her past hair colors include platinum, blonde, brunette, and several others.
