Man Accused of Pimping Child Prostitute to Lawrence Taylor
Parolee allegedly gave 16-year-old drugs, punched her in face.
May 6, 2010— -- Rasheed Davis, the man accused of delivering a 16-year-old prostitute to Lawrence Taylor's hotel room this week, punched the girl in face before she was forced to have sex with the former football star, authorities said in a criminal complaint that charges Davis with child sex trafficking.
Police said the girl, a runaway, was reported missing in March and met Davis, 36, at a Bronx, N.Y., bus station two weeks ago and offered her a place to stay, provided she work as a prostitute.
Early Thursday morning Davis allegedly punched the girl in the face and took her, against her will, to Taylor's hotel in Ramapo, N.Y. There, the former Giants linebacker sexually assaulted the girl and paid her $300, which she gave to Davis, according to authorities.
Police say they were tipped off when the girl texted her uncle as she and Davis were returning to New York City after leaving Taylor's hotel. The uncle alerted the NYPD, who met the girl, arrested Davis and called detectives in Ramapo to arrest Taylor at the Holidome Hotel in Montebello, N.Y.
According to court documents, Davis regularly plied the girl with the narcotics ecstasy and marijuana prior to engaging in sex with clients.
After first meeting the girl, authorities say he photographed her with his cell phone and posted the images on the Internet, advertising for client. He typically charged clients $80 to have oral sex and $150 to have intercourse with the girl, according to the criminal complaint.
Taylor allegedly paid $300 to have sex with the girl.
According to the complaint, Davis told the girl to tell Taylor, identified in the documents as Client-1, that she was 19 years old.
Following his arrest on Thursday, Davis waived his Miranda rights and told police he had received money by prostituting the girl and had driven her to several locations for the purpose of "engaging in commercial sex acts" in the past two weeks, according to the complaint.
Davis was arrested on charges of unlawful imprisonment, assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
He is expected to be arraigned today. It was unclear if he had already retained an attorney to represent him.
Davis was previously sentenced in April 1994 to eight to 25 years in prison for first-degree manslaughter. , but he was paroled in March 2008.
