Bob Saget Surprises ‘Fuller House’ Cast During Exclusive Interview on 'GMA'

Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber drop in on "GMA."

“The chemistry’s real,” Cameron-Bure said. “If you can’t tell how close we are and how much we love each other, it’s all true and real and I think the show is classic and timeless in the sense that it’s about family, and it’s about love and those stories carry through to any and every generation.”

“It’s such a pleasure I can’t even express to you, to get to work with your best friends every day,” she continued.

“We’ve never really spent time apart,” Saget said via Skype. “We go to dinner, we see each other and we’re good friends. We all help each other. God knows they’ve helped me over the years."

“I did a couple of episodes and I think I got my act back [of] Danny Tanner,” he added. “I took a departure from that kind of bias man. He’s a good man.”

In the spinoff series, the adventures that began in 1987 on "Full House" continue with D.J. Tanner-Fuller recently widowed and living in San Francisco.

D.J.'s younger sister Stephanie and D.J.'s lifelong best friend/fellow single mother Kimmy Gibbler, along with Kimmy's feisty teenage daughter Ramona, all move in to help take care of D.J.'s three boys.

“D.J. is the oldest daughter, so she’s always responsible and nurturing and she’s kind of the head of this family and she’s a veterinarian and I think that was a cool job for her,” Cameron-Bure said.

Barber and Sweetin said their on-screen characters haven’t changed too much since "Full House" ended.

“Kimmy Gibler is still just as zany as she was back in the 90s,” Barber said. “She’s matured a little bit and I think her wardrobe has actually improved.”

“Stephanie is still kind of fun and wild and edgy and hasn’t lost her really sharp wit and comedic timing, so she’s a lot of fun to play all these years later,” Sweetin said.

The ladies aren’t the only familiar faces fans will recognize.

“He’s great,” Cameron-Bure said of working with Stamos. “He’s ‘Uncle J’ to us and he the executive producer on the show. He doesn’t really act like a boss though.”

“He’s like family,” Sweetin chimed in.

"Fuller House" premieres this Friday on Netflix.
