Judging Procedure, Notification and Finalists Judging:

Eligible entries will be judged on the basis of creativity, on-air appeal, “wow” factor, originality and feasibility of participating in live segments on “Good Morning America” during the week of July 14–18, 2014. As part of the judging process, the judges may request additional pre-interviews, photos and/or videos to use during the judging process. Decisions of the judges are final as to all contest-related matters.

In the event of a tie, the entry with the highest score in the creativity category will be declared a Semi-Finalist.

Approximately nine (9) entries will be chosen as Semi-Finalists (Semi-Finalist). For three (3) days, from on or about July 9–July 11, 2014, at least two (2) of the Semi-Finalists videos will be broadcast each day on “Good Morning America”. Viewers will be asked to vote at goodmorningamerica.com that day for their favorite video among the Semi-Finalists’ videos broadcast that morning. Voting shall begin at 8:00 A.M. ET each of those three (3) days and will remain open until 3:00 P.M. ET each day.

The entry which receives the most votes from viewers each day will be declared a Finalist (“Finalist”). Finalists will be announced on the following weekday broadcast of “Good Morning America” and will be notified by Sponsors within twenty-four (24) hours after voting is closed. There will be a total of three (3) Finalists.

After being selected as a Finalist, each Finalist must be available for possible taping of a segment for broadcast on “Good Morning America”. Each of the three (3) Finalists must also provide “Good Morning America” with its favorite firehouse recipe. Only original recipes are eligible.

Each Finalist must designate three (3) members from its video to form its Finalist Team (“Finalist Team”).

The three (3) Finalist Teams must be available to travel to New York City to compete on “Good Morning America” sometime between July 14 - 18, 2014.

During the week of July 14 – 18, 2014, on two (2) broadcasts of “Good Morning America”, the Finalist Teams will compete against each other in physical, skill-based and/or knowledge-based competitions to attempt to score the highest number of points (“Competition Score”) as explained to the contestants by the producers and/or judges on the day of a respective broadcast. Decisions of the judges are final as to all contest-related matters. Before participating, all members of each Finalist Team must sign releases indicating that they are able to compete in physical challenges.

On the first day’s competition, all three (3) Finalist Teams will compete in a physical challenge. Finalist Teams will score points based on their successful completion of the competition. The Finalist Team with the lowest score will be eliminated during that broadcast.

On the second day of the competition, the remaining two Finalist Teams will compete in a trivia, skill-based and/or physical competition. Finalist Teams will score points based on their successful completion of the competition. The Finalist Team with the lower score will be eliminated during that broadcast.

The qualified fire department of the Finalist Team with the higher score will be declared the Grand Prize Winner (“Winner”). An authorized administrative representative from the winning fire department must acknowledge acceptance of the prize on behalf of the Entrant and the fire department. For the avoidance of doubt, the Entrant who submitted the winning entry is a representative of his or her qualified fire department, and he or she is not eligible to receive a prize in his or her individual or personal capacity.

In the event of a tie, the two (2) Finalist Teams will participate in a tie breaker round where a question will be asked. The Finalist Team to give the correct answer to the question will be deemed to have the higher score that day and that Finalist Team’s qualified fire department will be announced as the Winner. Final determination of the Winner is always conditional on verification of eligibility and compliance with all rules and procedures.

In addition, viewers will also be asked to vote for their favorite among the Firehouse Recipes submitted by the two (2) remaining Finalist Teams. Voting will be open from 9 A.M. ET on the first day of the competition and will close at 8:30 A.M. ET on the second day of the competition. The fire department of the Finalist receiving the most votes for its recipe will be declared the Firehouse Recipe Winner (“Firehouse Recipe Winner”).

In the event a Semi-Finalist, Finalist, Finalist Team or Winner is deemed ineligible or fails to comply with contest procedures, is not available to participate as specified, or becomes unable to completely fulfill all aspects of the Contest, then the first runner-up in each category will be selected to participate, time permitting, or Sponsors reserve the right to terminate the contest at their discretion.
