Sia Admits She Doesn't Need Security, Thanks to Iconic Look
The musical performer discussed her latest album on "GMA."
-- Sia has no problem dodging fans and paparazzi, thanks to her unusual look.
"It's for fun and for privacy," Sia told "Good Morning America" co-anchor Lara Spencer today. "I've been walking around New York this whole time. I don't need security detail. I don't need anything special. I just walk around and I can do that and that's a real luxury when you're in my industry."
While hiding behind her famous wig, the Australian singer-songwriter introduced her latest album "This Is Acting"on "GMA" this morning. She admitted that she wrote many of her new songs for other artists.
"A couple of [my songs] I wrote and kept for myself and even one I took back actually," Sia said, revealing that "Space Between" was originally written for Rihanna.
"I really asked [Rihanna] if she wouldn't mind and she said 'No,'" Sia said. "She's a cool gal."
The four-time Grammy nominated star performed her new single "Reaper," which was co-written and co-produced by Kanye West.
As for her unique style, Sia said she'll continue rocking her funky hairpieces until the look grows old.
"As long as it works," she said.
