"Good Morning America Weekend" - Great American Cupcake Recipe Challenge

March 18, 2006 — -- "Good Morning America Weekend" kicks off its first "Great American Cupcake Recipe Challenge" today.If you have an unique homemade cupcake recipe, you can enter to win.

Our winner will be invited to appear on "Good Morning America Weekend" to demonstrate the cooking process of the cupcakes. Please send us your three minute video tape and your special recipe. We'll have a team of judges to examine them on the basis of look, taste and appeal.If you win, you'll be offered a once in a lifetime opportunity to come to our New York studio in Time Square, and cook it up live on Good Morning America Weekend in June.

II. ELIGIBILITY

The Promotion is open to all legal residents of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia . Entrants must be 18 years old or above.

Any individuals (including but not limited to employees, consultants, independent contractors, and interns) who have, within six months prior to the start date of the Promotion and thereafter, performed services for American Broadcasting Companies, Inc. are not eligible to enter or win. "Immediate family members" shall mean parents, step-parents, children, step-children, siblings, step-siblings, or spouses. "Household members" shall mean people who share the same residence at least three months a year.

III. HOW AND WHEN TO ENTER

Good Morning America Weekend's (the "Sponsor") "Great American Cupcake Recipe Challenge" (the "Promotion" or "Challenge") begins on Saturday, March 18, 2006. All entries MUST be RECEIVED at the post office box address listed below on or before Monday, May 1st, 2006. Entries delivered to any other address will not be considered.

All entrants must send a standard VHS, DVD, DV or Beta tape, no longer than 3 minutes in length, describing the originality and uniqueness of their homemade cupcake recipes and demonstrating the cooking of these cupcakes.

The video must show the actual recipe inventor and, to his/her best ability, visually and verbally illustrating and describing his/her recipe - its ingredients, taste and appeal. In addition, a copy of the recipe (typed) must be included. Entrants will also need to submit a fact sheet with the following information: Name, gender, age, mailing address, day/night telephone number, mobile phone or other alternate contact number, if available.

IV. HOW AND WHEN WINNERS WILL BE SELECTED AND NOTIFIED

Three finalists will be notified by phone on or before Friday May 19, 2006. Finalists will be selected from all entries, and will be judged based on taste, look, creativity and originality. They and their homemade cupcakes will appear at Good Morning America Times Square Studio on or about the morning of Saturday June 3rd, 2006. There will be a tasting by a panel of judges, selected at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Judges will announce the winner of the Challenge live on the show. Winning will be selected at Judges sole discretion based on prepared cupcakes' taste, look, creativity and originality. On or about Sunday June 4th, 2006, the winner will be given an opportunity to make their cupcakes live on Good Morning America.

Finalists must be able to travel to our studios for the final judging on June 3rd, 2006; if a selected finalist is unable to travel on the dates specified by the Sponsor, Sponsor reserves the right to select alternate finalist(s), time permitting. Good Morning America Weekend will provide roundtrip coach class airfare from an airport near the finalists' home to a New York area airport; ground transportation in NY as necessary to transport the finalist to/from airport, to/from hotel, to/from studio to our studios; and one night of hotel accommodation for finalists, and 2 nights of hotel accommodation for winner, in hotel of Sponsor's choosing. All travel and accommodation arrangements are made at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Finalist and Travel Companion must travel on the same itinerary. All expenses not specifically provided for herein are the Finalists' sole responsibility. Some restrictions may apply.

If a minor is selected as Finalist, Finalist must be accompanied by parent or legal guardian and that parent or legal guardian will be counted as Finalists' Travel Companion.

V. ENTRIES

By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these official rules and the decisions of the Sponsor/Judges and the administrator, which shall be final in all respects.

By participating in the Promotion entrants agree to release Good Morning America Weekend, American Broadcasting Companies, Inc., their parent, subsidiary, affiliated and successor companies, advertising and promotion agencies and prize suppliers, and each of their respective officers, directors, agents, representatives and employees, as well as each of their respective successors, representatives and assigns (collectively, the "Released Parties") from any and all actions, claims, injury, loss or damage arising in any manner, directly or indirectly, from participation in the Promotion.

Entrants authorize the Released Parties to use their name, voice, likeness, biographical data, city and state of residence and entry materials in programming or promotional material, worldwide in perpetuity, or on a winner's list, if applicable, without further compensation unless prohibited by law. Sponsor is not obligated to use any of the above mentioned information or materials, but may do so and may edit such information or materials, at Sponsor's sole discretion, without further obligation or compensation.

By submitting entry materials, entrants certify that such materials are original and created by entrant, that entrants have the necessary rights, permission and authority to submit such materials, and, if applicable, that entrants maintain a valid copyright in the materials. Entrants acknowledge that such materials may be included and/or discussed in a broadcast, that such discussion may include statements or opinions by the broadcast talent or others about the entrants, the entrants' appearances and/or the materials, and that those statements and opinions may be considered surprising, humiliating, embarrassing, derogatory, defamatory or otherwise offensive or injurious to them, Sponsor's employees, its studio or at-home audience and/or other third parties. Entrants release the Released Parties from any actions, claims, injury, loss or damage allegedly caused, directly or indirectly, by any such statements or opinions made during a broadcast.

To qualify as a Finalist, entrant: (a) must provide proof of age, identity and residency; (b) must sign and return affidavit of eligibility/compliance with rules, publicity/liability release and indemnification; and (c) travel companion, if any, must sign liability/publicity release, all within the time period specified by Sponsor.

Sponsor will require any minor to be accompanied by his/her parent or guardian, who will count as a Travel Companion.

VI. MISCELLANEOUS; LIST OF FINALISTS

Void where prohibited. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.

Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process and to cancel, terminate, modify and/or suspend the Promotion in the event of tampering or other circumstances, including but not limited to acts of God or civil disturbance that render it impractical or impossible to complete or fulfill the contest as originally planned.
