Aug. 17, 2008 -- Actress Christina Applegate gives an exclusive interview to "Good Morning America" Tuesday, speaking out for the first time since publicly announcing her breast cancer diagnosis earlier this month.
"Good Morning America" anchor and breast cancer survivor Robin Roberts sits down with the "Samantha Who?" star to discuss her diagnosis and talk about what's next for the 36-year-old.

Applegate's publicist announced Aug. 3 that the star had breast cancer and added that doctors caught the disease early through an MRI. The diagnosis is not life-threatening, publicist Ame Van Iden said in a statement.
Applegate, who rose to fame as the sexy, but dim-witted Kelly Bundy on "Married ... With Children," is scheduled to appear on a one-hour television special, "Stand Up To Cancer," which will air on ABC, CBS and NBC on Sept. 5 to raise funds for cancer research.
