Health Tip: When Bedwetting Signals Another Problem

Sept. 19 -- (HealthDay News) -- Bedwetting affects many young children and often doesn't indicate a serious medical issue.
However, the Nemours Foundation says, if bedwetting starts all of a sudden or is accompanied by these other factors, it's time to call a pediatrician.
Bedwetting that resumes after a child has had dry nights for at least six months.Sudden behavioral problems, either at home or at school.Complaints from your child that there's burning or pain during urination.An increase in the frequency of urination.An increase in appetite or thirst.Swelling of the ankles or feet.Bedwetting that continues at age 7 or older.
