Answer: When we look at the risk factors for < osteoarthritis, age is the most prominent risk factor. The older you are, the more likely the risk. So that someone at the age of 40 has a little bit of risk, someone at the age of 80 has a greater risk. Indeed, if you get to the age of 80 -- and many of us are these days -- the risk of having osteoarthritis is almost 80 percent.
