Answer: Following the treatment, which takes about one hour and 20 minutes, patients either go home the day of surgery, without need for pain medications, or the following morning. The success in terms of cancer cure essentially parallels that of radiation therapy or surgical removal of the prostate while being minimally invasive and getting patients back to their normal work life within a few days' time.
