Flower Power for Prince William and Kate Middleton

April 18, 2011— -- Floral details are blooming from the palace. Prince William and Kate Middleton have reportedly engaged florist Shane Connolly to oversee the floral arrangements for their wedding. The Daily Mail says the couple are planning on white flowers ranging from roses to lilies. The selection may overlap with Prince Charles and Diana's flowers which included gardenia, golden Earl Mountbatten roses, and white orchids backed by miniature ivy and tradescantia.

A source tells the Mail that the couple "want[s] seasonal flowers" and that "final decisions about arrangements will be made in the week of the wedding." Connolly created Camilla's bouquet and arranged flowers for Prince Charles and Camilla's 2005 nuptials. Two years later, Prince William and Harry turned to Connolly to create the floral remembrances for the 10th anniversary memorial service marking their mother's death.
