Hats Off to Royal-Wedding Milliner
Philip Treacy, the London-based milliner, to deck out the royal party in hats.
Feb. 21, 2011 -- Kate Middleton has chosen Philip Treacy, the London-based milliner, to design hats for the royal-wedding party.
Treacy has designed hats for royalty, rock 'n' roll and for Kate herself. The royal bride, pictured above, wore one of Treacy's hats in 2006 to the Sovereign's Parade at the Royal Military Academy in Camberley.
The Daily Mail reported that Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, recommended that Kate use his designs for the senior members of the wedding party, including Kate's mother, Carole.
The award-winning hat-maker designed Camilla's wedding head dress in 2005.
