Tim Gunn on Kate Middleton's Sense of Style
Feb. 25, 2011 -- Fashion royalty Tim Gunn dished on Kate Middleton's sense of style, telling "Good Morning America," "She has a sophistication and a taste level that is really unexpected in someone so young. She's clearly very fashion savvy."
Gunn praised Kate's sleek and polished look in her first two public appearances in Anglesey, Wales, Thursday and this morning at St. Andrews in Scotland.
Gunn applauded Kate's decision to wear a feathered fascinator to the lifeboat ceremony in windy Wales, adding that the princess-to-be, 29, "understands counterpoint" pairing her headpiece with a tailored coat and sleek accessories.
Her choices show she understands how to dress for size and shape with a "point of view about her personal style and fashion that's very palpable," he said.
Plus, he added, Kate's "confidence is contagious" and helps her carry off any outfit.
