AirAsia Magazine Once Said Its Planes Would 'Never Get Lost'

AirAsia's in-flight magazine faced criticism for statement back in April.

— -- AirAsia, whose plane vanished Sunday over the Java Sea with 162 people on board, previously was criticized for an unfortunate boast about the airline's safety in the April issue of its in-flight magazine.

"Pilot training in AirAsia is continuous and very thorough," Travel 3Sixty stated. "Rest assured that your captain is well prepared to ensure your plane will never get lost.”

“With deep regret and remorse I would like to sincerely apologize for any offense caused by the Pilot's Perspective article in the latest issue of Travel 3Sixty magazine,” AirAsia executive chairman Datuk Kamarudin Meranun said in a statement at the time.
