Americans Killed in Brussels Bombing Were Spouses of US Personnel

A U.S. official confirmed to ABC News that the two Americans were living in Europe at the time of the attacks. Their names have not been released and the families have asked for privacy. The terror attacks at the Brussels airport and metro station have resulted in at least 31 deaths and hundreds of injuries according to officials.
At least 12 Americans were injured in the attacks according to the U.S. State Department. Among the injured are three American Mormons who were dropping off another Mormon missionary at the airport.
A U.S. Air Force service member and five of his family members were also injured in the attacks.
The families of an American couple last seen at the airport dropping off a family member have been frantically searching for their whereabouts. Justin and Stephanie Shults were last seen at the Brussels airport as they dropped of Stephanie Shults' mother for her flight back to the U.S.
