-- The White House says two American citizens are among those killed in a terrorist attack in Istanbul, Turkey, Saturday.
Authorities say a lone bomber struck the city's main pedestrian shopping street killing five people and wounding more than 35.
In a statement, NSC spokesperson Ned Price said the U.S. strongly condemns the attack, and offered condolences to the families and loved ones of those killed.
"Turkey has once again suffered a horrific terrorist attack, and we remain steadfast in our support for our NATO Ally and partner," Price said in the statement. "These repeated acts of terrorism in Turkey must come to an end. We are in close touch with Turkish authorities and reaffirm our commitment to work together with Turkey to confront the evil of terrorism."
