Feb. 25, 2014— -- It’s the photo that has everyone talking. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu appearing to accidentally give German Chancellor Angela Merkel a Hitler-like mustache today during a joint news conference at the King David hotel in Jerusalem. The moment appeared to occur when Netanyahu pointed across the stage, inadvertently casting the shadow across Merkel’s face. Of course, Merkel was not there to talk about her country’s past. Rather, she’s in Israel to discuss nuclear talks with Iran and encourage Netanyahu to reach a two-state solution with the Palestinians.
