Indian Couple Weds While Dangling Nearly 300 Feet Up

The couple exchanged vows in Jakhani Valley.

— -- They tied the knot...and were glad it held.

An Indian couple married Sunday while dangling nearly 300 feet in the air in Maharashtra's Jakhani Valley.

The bride, 26-year-old Reshma Patil, and groom, 33-year-old Jaydeep Jadhav, were joined by a priest, who chanted prayers while also dangling on a rope as spectators on the ground watched and cheered.

After the newlyweds exchanged marriage garlands, they were untangled from the ropes and helped onto the ground. They were dressed in traditional attire.

The couple met while hiking and wanted their wedding to be "different," the groom told ABP Live.
