Meteor Photographed Shooting Across Loch Ness

The meteor's reflection showed the colors of Ireland's flag.

John Alasdair Macdonald was near Dochfour, Scotland, Sunday when he shot the image.

“I will never take a picture like that again,” he added.

Macdonald posted the photo on the Facebook page of his tour company, The Hebridean Explorer, where it has received over 14,000 “likes” since Sunday.

In the meteor’s reflection can be seen the colors orange, green and white, the colors of neighboring Ireland’s flag.

The meteor over Loch Ness Sunday prompted a "deluge" of calls to local authorities from people concerned the lights from the meteor were distress "flares," according to the BBC.
