3 People Killed in Jerusalem and West Bank Attacks
The two male attackers were shot and killed.
JERUSALEM — -- Following Tuesday night's stabbings in the port city of Jaffa, near Tel Aviv, there were three more attacks in Jerusalem and the West Bank this morning. All three attackers were shot and killed.
Israeli police say two Palestinian men opened fire on a bus in Jerusalem.
Both men were shot dead near the Old City and an Israeli man was taken to the hospital for serious wounds.
Israeli Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld tweeted a photo of the weapon used in today's attacks.
Elsewhere, the Israeli military said a Palestinian man was shot and killed after he attempted to stab forces near a checkpoint outside of the West Bank city of Qalqilya.
The attacker from Tuesday night, Bashar Masalha, 22, was a Palestinian from Qalqilya. Masalha injured at least 10 people and killed 28-year-old Taylor Force, an American combat veteran and West Point graduate, when he ran up a crowded boulevard in Jaffa, stabbing drivers and pedestrians with a knife.
At the same time, just one mile away, U.S. Vice President Joe Biden was meeting former Israeli President Shimon Peres at the Peres Center for Peace. On his last full day here, Biden will meet with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and Palestinian President Abbas.
