Pilot's Emergency Landing After Midair Collision Captured on Video

Two people are dead as a result of the crash.

The pilot of the plane that made the emergency landing survived, where the plane flipped over itself after overshooting the runway. The pilot, who was uninjured, ran away from the wreck.

A medical helicopter located the second plane, with two passengers, in an isolated area east of Fort McMurray.

“The helicopter did a search of the area and did finally find the plane about 15 miles southeast of Fort McMurray,” Royal Canadian Mounted Police spokesperson Cpl. George Cameron said.

Both passengers died, according to Cameron. They have yet to be identified.

McMurray Aviation, a flight training and aerial tour company at Fort McMurray, tweeted that one of their planes used for training was involved in the incident. They did not provide any other details.

The Transportation Safety Board of Canada did not immediately respond to ABC News’ request for comment.
