Prince Harry Tells ABC's Bob Woodruff 'Nice Try' on Bachelor Party Secrets

March 31, 2011— -- Prince Harry has plenty of nice things to say about the upcoming wedding of his brother and Kate Middleton, but he won't say a word about that bachelor party.

"I'm not going to talk about that," the prince told ABC News' Bob Woodruff during an exclusive interview in Svalbard, Norway, for "Good Morning America." The prince is there on a partial trek to the North Pole with wounded veterans.

The two went on to talk about the royal wedding, Prince Charles' involvement in the selection of the music for the wedding and Prince Harry's upcoming training to pilot Apache attack helicopters. As the interview concluded, however, the prince said with a laugh to Woodwruff, "Nice, try getting me to talk about the stag weekend. That was never going to happen."

The young prince marveled, however, about the upcoming nuptials.

"It's a big deal. It's not just a normal wedding," said Prince Harry. "It's a really big decision for him to bring Kate into the family."

The royal wedding planners continue to have surprises. The palace officials said today that Prince William will not wear a wedding ring after the ceremony. The palace spokesman said Middleton, however, will wear a ring. It will be made of Welsh gold.

Harry, who will be William's best man at the April 29 wedding, said he hasn't started working on his speech yet.

"I am doing the speech along with a couple of his friends, so I will take the mickey out of him. I will have a few stories," he said. "I think my grandmother will be there so I have to be selective, as one might say."

The also prince would not say who he was taking to the wedding. When asked who he was inviting, he responded: "It's not my wedding, I'm just going to be there."

The prince said he is looking forward to having Middleton in the family, noting he had always wanted another sibling. "A younger brother or sister wouldn't have been nicer, but to have a big sister is very, very nice," he said.

"She's a fantastic girl, she really is, my brother is very lucky," said Harry. "She's very lucky to find my brother. The two of them are a classic match."

He said he hopes his mother, Princess Diana, would be proud of his brother. "We all thought that it was never going to happen for him. But it has happened and everyone is really proud of him," Harry said.

Prince Charles is "over the moon" about the wedding, according to his youngest son. Harry said his father is helping a lot with preparations for the wedding, even picking the processional music.

Prince Harry Doesn't Snore

"He's obsessed with his music," said Harry. He said Prince Charles and Kate "have been slaving away, getting everything right."

Prince Harry spoke to Woodruff in the snow-covered mountains of northern Norway, where Harry is preparing for an arctic trek with wounded veterans.

Harry, a veteran of Afghanistan himself, will spend the next five days in subzero temperatures on a partial trek to the North Pole with the charity organization Walking With the Wounded.

The prince slept in a tent last night as temperatures plunged to 25-below zero. One member of the expedition who shared a tent with Harry was asked whether the prince snored.

Taking the question seriously, the hiker said, "He has a cozy little hmmmmmm, this cozy little bass going. It helped me sleep."

Harry said what the wounded veterans have been through mentally can take them to a whole new level.

"No matter what you can progress in your life," said Harry. "These guys before they were wounded, they were never planning on going to the North Pole."

The prince joked about the frigid weather with Woodruff. "I think i acclimatized last night, hopefully, but I think this butt is stuck to this railing," he said.

Harry will only be with the group for the first five days of the journey; he has to return to London to prepare for the wedding.

Prince Harry also talked about his upcoming training to fly Apache helicopters .

"It is like flying a robot. It's one of the safest helicopters, hence my father wasn't too upset when I was selected for it," he said.

Harry said training to fly the Apache suggests that he would be assigned to a combat area in Afghanistan. The last time he was deployed, he had to be taken out of the war zone after his presence became public for fear that he would be targeted by the Taliban.

But training to fly an Apache is "very, very expensive," he said and "they wouldn't have me doing what I'm doing.... if they didn't have me set on doing a job."

The prince will be coming to America for part of his training.
