Kerry to Join Iran Nuclear Talks in Vienna

Kerry has held three meetings with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif since arriving on Thursday evening.

Is all this a sign of progress? Maybe yes, maybe no.

On one hand, high level talks continue.

On the other, Zarif has reportedly said while he has had good discussions, he has not received enough of a proposal to warrant bringing it back to Tehran.

Meanwhile, the clock keeps ticking down to Monday’s deadline. By most accounts the parties remain deadlocked. And despite the flurry of diplomacy, the chances of a deal may not be any better.
