Kimberly Dozier Bio

— -- CBS News correspondent Kimberly Dozier has been reporting on the Iraq war for almost three years.

According to CBS News' Web site, Dozier was the Middle East Bureau chief for New York affiliate WCBS-TV. From 1996 to 2002 she was a reporter in CBS News' London bureau. Dozier has covered the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the hunt for Osama bin Laden, and the crisis and refugee exodus in the Balkans, Vladimir Putin's election, the death of Princess Diana, Northern Ireland's peace process and the Khobar barracks bombing in Dhahran.

Dozier has interviewed dozens of newsmakers, including Sinn Fein President Gerry Adams and Yassir Arafat. She recently interviewed Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on her visit to Iraq.

From 1996 to 1998, Dozier worked for the BBC Radio World Service, where she anchored BBC Radio World Service's "World Update."

As a foreign correspondent living in Cairo, Dozier freelanced for CBS Radio News, Christian Science Monitor, Voice of America, the Washington Post and the San Francisco Chronicle. Before that she was a Washington D.C.-based reporter for The Energy Daily, New Technology Week, and Environment Week.

Dozier was born on July 6, 1966 in Honolulu, Hawaii and graduated magna cum laude from Wellesley College in 1987 with a bachelor's degree in human rights and Spanish. She went on to receive a master's degree in foreign affairs, Middle East from the University of Virginia in 1993.
