2 Syrians Arrested in Geneva on Terror Charges

Arrests come as Switzerland raised terror threat level in Geneva.

— -- Two people carrying Syrian passports were arrested in Geneva on terror charges Friday, said the Office of the Attorney General of Switzerland, following Switzerland's decision Thursday to raise the terror threat level in Geneva.

Neither suspect was linked to the four possibly Paris-related suspects Swiss authorities were looking for in the area earlier this week, the prosecutor general said.

Geneva Prosecutor General Olivier Jornot said in a press conference today that traces of explosives were found in the suspects' car, but it appeared that the suspects did not have explosives themselves, or toxic gas or traces of toxic gas.
