Video Shows Airplane Making Scary but Epic Landing in Extreme Winds in UK
Don't look at this if you're scared of flying.
-- A new YouTube video shows an airplane struggling to land as extreme wind gusts push the plane.
Precipitation and winds can be seen in the video, causing the plane to shake. Despite the wobbling, the airplane appears to make a successful landing.
The video was uploaded to an account under the alias "flugsnug."
The user says the plane was a Flybe Embraer 175 that had the bad luck of landing at Birmingham Airport in the U.K. just as a nasty squall hit the runway last Wednesday.
Flybe Airlines, a low-cost regional airline based in Exeter, England, did not immediately respond to an ABC News request for comment.
Another airplane "had to go around because of the 45 knot (52 mph) gusts across the runway," the user wrote in the description.
The user's account contains what is described as more than 60 videos of airplanes making extreme landings, mostly at Birmingham Airport.
The airport "experiences challenging weather conditions occasionally," although aircraft "remain able to land safely without incident," an airport representative told The Independent.
