See 100 Years of Iconic Family Dinners in America
This year saw a much healthier trend in present-day dishes.
-- In honor of Americans’ prepping for the biggest eating festivity of the year, one media company is taking a look back at the most iconic family dinners over the past 100 years.
From the progressive era's roast beef and Franconia potatoes to a ‘50s TV dinner complete with turkey and mashed potatoes, each decade serves up meals to which people can relate, including a much healthier trend in present-day dishes.
As in previous videos, Mode Media of San Francisco, California, told ABC News, Avalino Pombo, Mode’s head of development, prepped for the video by conducting research on how people ate supper, including the most popular meals, from 1915 to today.
Just in time to gear up for Thanksgiving, the video, "100 Years of Family Dinners," has racked up over 360,000 views since being posted to YouTube Wednesday.
