25 Couples Get Engaged in Epic Live 'GMA' Proposal

These 25 couples were selected for an epic live proposal in Bryant Park.

— -- Love was certainly in the air this morning on “Good Morning America.”

Men and women from around the country wrote to "GMA" wanting to surprise their sweethearts with the wedding proposal of a lifetime and 25 lucky couples were selected to take part in our biggest pop-the-question event ever.

The engagement rings were burning holes into the lovebirds’ pockets as they gathered on the ice for a special performance by Christina Perri singing “A Thousand Years," the platinum hit she wrote for "The Twilight Saga - Breaking Dawn, Part 1."

That’s when the magic began.

Nearly in sync, half of the 25 couples got down on bended knee and proposed.

“I did it gracefully as possible,” said one groom-to-be.

"I kind of had a feeling but, no, so surprised,” said his bride-to-be. "I’m speechless. Very happy."

"Surprised. Shocked. Happy," said another bride-to-be, summing up her feelings in three words.

"It was hard," her fiance said of both keeping the secret and waking up early for the "GMA" surprise. "But it was worth it."
