ABC News Tries 'Star Wars' Ice Cream
Ample Hills has launched two limited edition "Star Wars" ice cream flavors.
-- Which side will you choose?
Ample Hills, a Brooklyn-based creamery, has launched two limited-edition "Star Wars" inspired ice cream flavors aptly named "The Dark Side" and "The Light Side." Developed in collaboration with Disney, the parent company of ABC News, the flavors are packaged in collectible containers with original artwork to delight fans of "Star Wars" and ice cream lovers alike.
A four-pack costs $36. These flavors can be ordered on the Ample Hills website or you can have them delivered to the Ample Hills Gowanus location for pickup. Each pack is shipped in dry ice with the Ample Hills pledge, “Everyone loves receiving the gift of ice cream at their doorstep but no one likes receiving melted ice cream. This is why we will happily reship your ice cream or issue you a full refund.”
Here's how Ample Hills describes the two flavors:
The Dark Side ice cream is "an ultra-dark chocolate ice cream with espresso fudge brownies, cocoa crispies, and white chocolate pearls to represent the light still hiding in the dark, waiting to burst through” and The Light Side is "a bright marshmallow ice cream with homemade crispie clusters, as well as a smattering of handmade cocoa crispies to represent the dark side still lurking within the light."
