Burger Stuffed With Reese's Peanut Butter Cups Has Burger Lovers Going Nuts
Surprisingly, customers are loving it.
-- A new burger only available in Canada has the Internet going nuts, literally and figuratively. Last week The WORKS Gourmet Burger Bistro debuted its Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup burger as a part of its ‘Get Stuff’d’ promotion, and the sweet and salty sandwich has already become a top seller.
Co-owner Bruce Miller told ABC News that the burger chain, which has 26 locations exclusively in Canada, has always tried to push the envelope on burger innovations.
The burger costs $15.98 and includes half a pound of beef stuffed with peanut butter cups. The patty is then covered with two strips of crispy bacon, crispy onion straws and on top of that -- even more Reese's cups.
Miller says that taste testers “mouth-picked” this burger to be featured in the promotion. Online reaction to the burger has ranged from “Moving to Canada” to “This is just wrong,” but those who have actually tried the burger have said that it is definitely worth the hype.
“In a food coma, totally worth it,” wrote one customer on Instagram.
“The PBC burger was delicious! What’s not to talk about?” said another fan.
The burger will only be available until Jan. 10. If you can’t make it to The WORKS before then, fear not -— the burger chain has 64 toppings available for its burgers, and said this won’t be the last crazy creation.
