Busby Quintuplets Celebrate Their First Mother's Day at Home With 'Fabulous' Long Nap
Danielle and Adam Busby update "GMA" on life one year after the girls were born.
-- The most famous quintuplets in America, the Busby girls, are only a year old, but they already star in their own TLC show, “OutDaughtered,” which has chronicled their family’s journey since before they were even born last April.
The entire Busby family -- Mom Danielle, Dad Adam, 5-year-old daughter Blayke, and the quints, Ava, Olivia, Hazel, Riley and Parker -- all joined “Good Morning America” today from their home in League City, Texas, to chat about how life is going now and what it was like celebrating their first Mother’s Day at home.
“We had a wonderful day,” Danielle said. “Last year we visited in the NICU so it was very sad. I had to go visit them, but this year we had a blast. We just hung out outside, just played. We all took a really long nap yesterday so that was fabulous.”
The long nap was probably the best gift her little ones could’ve given Danielle for the holiday as Adam has now gone back to work, leaving her as the primary caretaker throughout the day.
“It was definitely really hard when he had to leave,” she explained. “I did have some help come in and some family, but there’s nothing like having your spouse or your husband there to take on charge with you.”
Adam said having the cameras following them throughout the girls’ entire life has been “pretty good.”
“We had them with us from the very beginning,” he added. “We got used to it pretty quick. The camera crew almost became like family members. Blayke was calling our producer Uncle Brad, so we took right to it. It hasn’t been too bad.”
“OutDaughtered” premieres Tuesday on TLC.
