Canadian Airline WestJet Debuts Its 'Frozen' Themed Aircraft
This is WestJet's second Disney-themed aircraft.
-- Canadian airline WestJet just unveiled its "Frozen" themed plane.
"This aircraft takes the relationship between WestJet and Disney to a completely new level of cool," WestJet Executive Vice-President Bob Cummings said in a press release.
"It's a truly unique and unforgettable design that Disney Fans and WestJet guests alike will enjoy for years to come," said Marlie Morrison, managing director of the Walt Disney Company (Canada) Ltd., Parks & Resorts.
The custom-painted aircraft features the popular "Frozen" princesses Elsa and Anna as well as the lovable snowman Olaf soaking up the sun on a beach.
According to the WestJet press release, the custom paint job took 21 days of round-the-clock work to complete, with over 170 gallons of paint used to create the finished product.
The inside of the plane follows the "Frozen" theme as well, with "Frozen" decals that represent the changing seasons prominently displayed on the seat headrests and the overhead bins.
The "Frozen"-decorated aircraft is WestJet's second Disney-themed plane, the first being a 2013 "Magic Plane" featuring Sorcerer Mickey.
The Walt Disney Co. is the parent company of ABC News.
