Dad and Daughter Duo Commit 39 Random Acts of Kindness to Celebrate Birthdays

The do-gooder duo do 39 random acts of kindness.

— -- For one dad and daughter do-gooder duo, their 32 and 7th birthdays will be ones they'll never forget.

Lee Beck and his daughter Amelie of Oxford, England decided they'd spend the two weeks surrounding both their May birthdays doing random acts of kindness -- 39 in total. Beck posted a video of the acts to YouTube last week.

He told ABC News that his daughter "regularly remarks about kindness, and is generally very loving, so I knew she would be keen to do this challenge. When I mentioned the idea to her she thought it was a great idea, and instantly starting talking about some of the people we could help. Her ideas were fantastic, and she put a lot of thought into those that she felt happiest about."

"We sat across the river and watched as people passed by and made wishes," he said.

He said he hopes anyone who sees the video will be inspired to do just one random act of kindness themselves.

"We are happy that we were able to meet so many people, learn about various charities, not-for-profit organisations and have some fun along the way! Words can't describe how proud I am of her for being so enthusiastic about this.

"It has been a very emotional time as we have learned about various causes, and we have a lot of memories to take away from it all. We will certainly be doing some kind acts next year."
