— -- Jumpsuits are enjoying resurgence in popularity, but are they for everyone, regardless of shape, age or style?

“You know what’s great about the jumpsuit is you can take it from day to night,” Ambrose said. “You can go from being something very casual to something very elegant and classy and it’s kind of turned into the new evening gown.”

“It’s effortless,” she said of the jumpsuit look.

THE LOOKS

For the Curvy Woman

How to wear it: The curvier woman should avoid fabrics with large patterns and prints, Ambrose said. The best fabrics would be solid colors to enhance curves in a natural way. Pairing the outfit with a nice pair of heels gives the appearance of longer legs and can elongate the frame. A smooth, tailored look with a good neckline also works best for curvier frames.

  • Massimo Dutti multi-strap leather sandals, $150, massimodutti.com
  • For the Stylish Mom

How to wear it: For women whose bodies may have changes since giving birth, there are ways to wear the look, Ambrose said. Women who have shapely arms should go bare, choosing jumpsuits that have either a halter top, sleeveless top or even tube top. Long-sleeved jumpsuits can look elegant and classy and can still hide less-than-perfect features. Mothers can show a little cleavage or embrace color blocking. For women who are conscious of their stomachs, wrap jumpsuits are a great way to camouflage that area.
