Firefighters Rescue Dog From Frozen Lake in Virginia

— -- Firefighters in Virginia and Pennsylvania had their hands full rescuing man’s best friend this morning.

In Reston, Virginia, a Fairfax County Fire and Rescue crew worked to save a panicked dog who had fallen through the ice on Lake Thoreau.

Witnesses told Reston Now that the dog, a Chow named Angel, was about 10 to 15 feet offshore when the ice cracked underneath its paws. Fortunately, responding firefighters were able to pull Angel to safety.

A video of the rescue showed Skye happily wagging her tail as firefighters pulled her out.
