Pug Playdate! Little Girl Can’t Get Enough of Her Pet Pugs
Kennedy Green, 2, loves her pugs so much she thinks she's one of them.
-- This little girl’s love affair with her pet pugs is paws-itively paw-dorable.
Take a look at 2-year-old Kennedy Green, of San Francisco, as she has the absolute time of her life snuggling on the bed with two of her three precious pugs.
“We have three pugs: Barnum, Bailey and Tahlulabelle,” Kennedy’s mom, Shannon Green, told ABC News. “Barnum and Bailey are both 4 years old and Kennedy has known them since the moment she came home from the hospital. Tahlulabelle joined our little 'grumble' -- that's what a group of pugs is called, kinda silly but fun -- in September of last year and she is a senior rescue pug from Central Coast Pug Rescue.”
Green said she was simply trying to change the bedding when Barnum and Bailey took it as an opportunity to use the bed for playtime.
“When Kennedy saw them she had to get in on it,” Green explained. “She had been trying to get them to have a tea party with her but just jumped in on their game instead. This was the first time that we saw here play like them but it happens a lot now.”
Kennedy really does believe she’s just one of the pugs, but it wasn’t until one situation in particular that truly convinced her mom.
“[She] does like to think that she is just one of the pugs and play like them, climb into their dog bed and take naps, and make sure that the pugs take part in almost everything that we do,” said Green. “I didn't realize how much she thought she was a pug until about a month ago when she told me, ‘Mommy, my nose itches.’ When I told her to scratch her nose she walked over to the carpet and got down on all fours and rubbed her nose on the carpet just like the pugs do to scratch their noses. I was speechless and I realized that a piece of her truly does think she's pug. Boy do I wish I had been able to catch that one on video.”
Kennedy and her four-legged friends have nearly 16,000 followers on Instagram.
